Notice: Adoption of the Backflow Prevention and Cross-Connection Control Ordinance

The City of East Palo Alto is required by the State Water Resource Control Board (SWRCB) to pass a Backflow Prevention and Cross-Connection Control Ordinance in order to protect the public drinking water supply. the existing Backflow Prevention Chapter in the East Palo Alto Municipal Code, Chapter 15.44, does not contain all the ordinance requirements outlined by the SWRCB; therefore, it is being repealed and replaced with a new Chapter 15.44.

This is to notify you that the City adopted the Backflow Prevention and Cross-Connection Control Ordinance during the October 19, 2021 City Council Meeting.
