Chief's Community Update - August 12, 2024

Officers Cesar Flores-Garcia and Guadalupe Juarez being sworn in as East Palo Alto Police Officers

Community Members,

Please welcome our newest Police Officers Cesar Flores-Garcia and Guadalupe Juarez.  Our department attended their graduation last Friday from the South Bay Regional Public Safety Consortium police academy, where I had the honor of handing them their academy completion certificates during the graduation ceremony, and swearing them in as Police Officers shortly following the ceremony.  

Both Cesar and Lupe will complete additional training within our department during the next few weeks before their field training begins.  If you come across them out in the community, and they are not occupied on a call, please take a moment to congratulate them on their graduation.
