Successor Agency

With the dissolution of the Redevelopment Agency, pursuant to Assembly Bill ABx1 26, the City Council on January 10, 2012 adopted Resolution No. 4226 to show that they would serve as the Successor Agency of the City of East Palo Alto. This would allow the Successor Agency to continue redevelopment activity by managing redevelopment projects, making payments on enforceable obligations, and disposing redevelopment assets and properties.  

The Successor Agency has an Oversight Board comprised of stakeholders in the redevelopment project areas.  The Oversight Board has a fiduciary responsibility to holders of the enforceable obligations and to the local agencies that would benefit from the property tax distributions from the former redevelopment project areas.
