2025 Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT) Grants NOFA

The City of East Palo Alto annually issues grant funding to organizations through its Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT) program. Modified in 2002, the program allocates 10% of the revenue to Children, Youth, and Family Services including Seniors that it receives from the hotel tax. This grant program is managed by the Community Services & Recreation division of the City Managers Department. For the fiscal year 2025-26, City Council has preliminarily issued a funding availability of $350,000. The maximum for each grant request per organization is $75,000 for those that meet the criteria. No single season application (four months of programming or less) shall be eligible for more than $20,000.
