Light Tree Construction Hours during July 2021
The general contractor for the Light Tree apartments project, Johnstone Moyer, is temporarily authorized to operate outside of construction hours through July 31, 2021. This work is strictly limited to low-volume, interior construction that will not disturb Light Tree residents or any neighboring residences. The purpose of the extended construction hours is to allow residents of the renovated building to move back into the apartments by the July 31, 2021 deadline.
Per the City Municipal Code Section 15.04.125, hours of operation are as follows for construction:
Monday – Friday – 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Saturdays – 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Sundays / Holidays – No Work Allowed
An exception may be granted for construction outside of the above hours. Exception B(1) of Section 15.04.125 allows operations which do not generate audible noise levels outside of the structure.
The interior construction work at the Light Tree Apartments, located at 1805 E. Bayshore Rd., may take place from 3:30pm to 12:00am, Monday-Saturday, through July 31, 2021.
This includes the following types of work:
- Drywall tape, top coat, skim coat, spray texture and sanding.
- Interior unit carpentry such as, installation of interior doors and casings, baseboard and stool apron at windows.
- Unit cabinets at kitchens and bathrooms.
- Laminate unit flooring.
- Electrical finish trim such as lighting fixtures, outlets, light switches and unit subpanel.
- Plumbing finish trim such as kitchen and bathroom faucets, supply lines, p-traps, bathtub fiberglass tub surrounds and toilets.
- Mechanical finish trim such as bathroom van covers and duct vent covers.
- Bathroom accessories such as towel bars, grab bars, medicine cabinets and toilet paper holders.
