16'' Water Transmission Main Project - Purdue Avenue
The City pursued additional water supplies and was able to increase the availability of water through the development of groundwater wells and through securing additional water supply allocations from the Cities of Menlo Park and Palo Alto. With this increase in water supply, essential improvements to the City’s water distribution system are needed to provide additional flow, storage, redundancy, and reliability. These improvements are intended to protect the health and safety of East Palo Alto residents. The water transmission main project includes the installation of a new turnout connection to the SFPUC (San Francisco Public Utilities Commission) system to feed the Ravenswood Business District and future development in that area. The water transmission main will increase the water capacity in the area.
