What is Peninsula Resilience Planning?
San Mateo County, Atherton, Belmont, Brisbane, Burlingame, East Palo Alto, Half Moon Bay, Pacifica, and San Bruno are working collaboratively on the Peninsula Resilience Planning (PREP) project. PREP is a project to study how natural hazards and climate change will harm our communities, and to plan for a safer future.
How can you be involved?
The community workshops are an opportunity to learn about the PREP project and share your thoughts and experiences related to natural hazards, such as flooding, wildfire, earthquakes, landslides, extreme heat, and other severe weather.
- Virtual Workshop #1: Wednesday, March 13, 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm
- Virtual Workshop #2: Wednesday, April 3, 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm
This event will be held online via Zoom and will include a presentation by the project team, interactive polling, Q&A, and small group discussions where community members are encouraged to share feedback.
Your experience and expertise is important!
This is the first of several community engagement events to inform, guide, and comment on the PREP project. Learn more about the project, upcoming engagement events, and view the interactive hazards map at the PREP Project website [hyperlink to www.prepsmc.com]. When you visit the website, please sign up for our mailing list to hear about future opportunities to get involved. Your input is vital to this planning process and we want to hear from you!
